I took a pregnancy test right before we went to a friend's wedding up in Maine and it came back positive. So to Robbie and Paige, there were three Goetz's at your wedding, instead of two! Whooops!
I am currently a little over 5 weeks so baby is still in the very early stages of development. The brain, spinal cord, heart and other organs are growing this week which is super cool. Baby is approximately the size of a sesame seed.
Chief Complaints: Morning sickness that seems to hit in the afternoon instead of the morning, heart burn (holy shit, heart burn), shortness of breath, feeling bloated and exhaustion.
Food aversions: Can't stand the smell of cinnamon and apple anything. Fall in New England will most likely be unpleasant.
Funny story: Went to Whole foods to grab lunch one day. Inside the vestibule, they usually have a fruit/vegetable display. The day I walked in, they were celebrating the beginning of Autumn with a apple cider donut station. The smell alone almost made me hurl. Then I thought about donuts and that made it even worse. What kind of kid is this?! What pregnant lady doesn't like fresh apple cider donuts?! I love autumn, especially food, and it's super disappointing!
Food cravings: None yet but I've been eating a lot of saltines and drinking lots of water.
Worries:
- Twins? Hopefully, there is only 1 bun in this oven! Too many twins in my family has me worried!
- What will our families think? Will they be excited?
- How will my high blood pressure impact this pregnancy? Will I need to be put on medication?
